the details

The goal for all of my sessions is to include well posed and spontaneous shots in beautiful light and surroundings, and to have fun doing it. I am organized and make the sessions efficient (so even the man or teenager in your life who normally hates pictures will have a good experience). I'm detail oriented, a hands-on fixer, patient, interactive, instructive, and experienced with all family sizes and ages.

Sessions include initial collaboration of styling and location and consultations about what you'd like to do with the images after we take them. Beginning with the end in mind helps with planning and visualization and your overall happiness with the experience. Seriously, some of my favorite family sessions have started with us styling the most awesome holiday card concept! Sessions also include an in person ordering visit so we can sit down together and fine tune your images and any editing requests and get those pictures finished and on your walls right away!

Sessions can be outdoors, in home (lifestyle), or in studio. My complete session guide has a more detailed location sampler for outdoor locations and we can collaborate on what will bring out your connections best.
I have lots of ideas and resources!

The number one frustration I hear from clients is "WHAT DO WE WEAR?!". I get it! Clothing choices, along with lighting and location, definitely impact the quality of the images, so it's important and the most impactful way to get beautiful images is for you to FEEL fabulous! I'm here to help! Before our session, we'll collaborate on your clothing options so you'll be happy with the end result. I have lots of tips and tricks to help and I'm always willing to give opinions or suggestions on options. My complete session guide also includes a pinterest board with lots of inspiration as well.

Portrait sessions begin at $850. I have some really great options for digital images, albums and wall art.  I am happy to visit with you about what your portrait needs are! I am not a hard core salesman, but I have to say...after years of experience I've realized that most people (me included) need help and motivation to get their beautiful photos displayed. It is good that we have the photos (even if they are stored on a computer folder somewhere), but it is sure better to have them filling your home! Sometimes you just need someone to help you make a plan and design those spaces. Design is my second love and creating wall galleries, albums and custom greeting cards/announcements has made me a better photographer and I love seeing the finished product.
